Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager of Nursing, the RN will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care in both the Inpatient Unit and the Emergency/OPD as assigned. The RN will provide care to a variety of Acute Care patients (General Medicine, Post OP, Palliative and Obstetrical).

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
  

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Proven knowledge of program and policy development, implementation and evaluation.
• Knowledge of current trends, issues and perspectives, of nursing in the specific clinical area
• Knowledge of the process of policy and procedure development and quality improvement initiatives
• Knowledge of the role of the specific clinical area within the entire health system
