Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Magic Teacher to join our team. As a Magic Teacher for Kids, you will be responsible for instructing and inspiring young learners in the art of magic. The ideal candidate will have a flair for performance, excellent teaching skills, and a genuine love for working with children. This role offers a unique opportunity to introduce the world of magic to a new generation of aspiring magicians.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and interactive magic lessons for children, focusing on fundamental techniques, tricks, and performance skills.

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, confidence, and self-expression in young learners.

Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students improve their magic skills and stage presence.

Organize and oversee magic workshops, showcases, and performances, allowing students to showcase their talents to family and friends.

Introduce and explain a variety of magic tricks, props, and equipment, ensuring students have a comprehensive understanding of the art form.

Foster a sense of camaraderie and teamwork among students, promoting a supportive and collaborative learning environment.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and innovations in the field of magic, incorporating them into lessons where applicable.

Maintain a safe and clean teaching environment, ensuring all equipment and props are in good condition and meet safety standards.

Qualifications:

Proven expertise in magic, with a strong portfolio of demonstrated tricks and performances.

Previous experience as a magic teacher or instructor is highly desirable.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children and create an engaging learning experience.

Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to plan and execute effective lessons.

Passion for teaching and a genuine interest in helping children develop their magic abilities.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Salary: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 10 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

• French not required

• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Coquitlam, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
