Systems Administrator

The Systems Administrator will be a key contributor to the Infrastructure and Bison Support Team, helping maintain critical systems that support 1100+ connected users across North America. Working closely with our Senior Systems Administrator and Manager, IT Infrastructure you will be supporting cloud, server/storage, networking, information security and disaster recovery processes.

Specific Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring & managing corporate networks (including Fortinet firewalls & switching, IP VPN, Cisco Meraki Wi-Fi)
• Cybersecurity defense including risk assessment & mitigation
• Hybrid Active Directory infrastructure and Group Policy administration
• Deploying and managing virtual servers using Microsoft Hyper-V/SCCM
• Managing Microsoft 365 Exchange Online Hybrid environment
• Automation of scripts/tasks using PowerShell
• Using Microsoft Endpoint Manager to develop desktop & mobile device management
• Monitoring & testing server backup and replication tasks
• Working with Bison Support as an escalation point for Bison’s 1000+ connected users

Our Ideal Candidate will possess:

• An Information Technology-related Degree, Diploma or Certification
• 3+ years of experience with: Windows Server/Hyper-V, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Veeam, Microsoft Azure
• Hands-on networking experience (e.g. firewalls, routing, switching, VPN, VoIP)
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills with a customer service mindset
• Trustworthy and highly motivated self-starter – able to work independently or as a part of a team
• A valid driver’s license
