Senior IT Specialist, Infrastructure (Server)

Advance your career as a Senior IT Specialist, Infrastructure at Viterra. Your strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and experience with backup and recovery solutions ensures the successful resolution of technical issues in the core computing and server environment. What You’ll Do

• Diagnose incidents encountered in the environment and resolve problems in systems, processes and services
• Perform security risk, vulnerability assessments, and business impact analysis and provide guidance on the application and operation of security controls
• Maintain security administration processes and investigate suspected attacks or breaches
• Implement arrangements for disaster recovery and document recovery procedures
• Drive continuous improvement by evaluating, configuring, and maintaining operating systems, software, and equipment, creating reports and proposals for improvement, and assisting in the planning and implementation of new installations
• Configure tools to automate provisioning, testing, and development of new and changed infrastructure
  
  

What You Bring To Our Team

• Superior knowledge of Enterprise Linux operating systems including build, configuration, performance tuning and troubleshooting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Storage Area Network management.
• Proven experience with building, managing, and supporting enterprise backup solutions.
• Proficiency with the VMware vSphere virtualization platform.
• Proven experience in planning and executing a disaster recovery program.
• Knowledge of Windows Server operating systems including build, configuration, performance tuning and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with architecture, design, and support of Windows technologies such as File Services, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS and AD DS.
• Experience automating repeatable tasks using common scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash).
• Experience with configuration management tools an asset (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
