We are growing!! SMS Equipment is looking for a Reman Coordinator who will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of activities for the Remanufacturing department, ensuring efficient and economical operations. They excel at customer service, love working in a shop and are great with follow though. We are looking for a candidate who works well with a team, is amazing with time management and great with multitasking. Please note, this is a 12 month term position with the possibility of becoming a permanent position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Shop Planning/Scheduling. Coordinates sublet WIP in conjunction with the expeditor and applicable vendor in order to establish job priorities and required completion dates. Support expeditor in bottle necks in the workflow process and proposes solutions.
  • Service Coordination. Analyses work for methods and craft requirements, issuing sub-orders and maintaining total job coordination responsibility. Prepares accurate, and timely estimates and quotations to customers using simplified maintenance standards, historical standards and experience-based approximations. Manages all sublets (3rd party repair work) per work order requirements.
  • Parts Coordination.Establishes and maintains parts within SMS Equipment work orders during component repair processing. Liaises with expeditors and inventory analysts to monitor backordered parts on jobs
  • Other Duties.This position will be responsible for entering time for hourly employees into eXtend. Work with Senior Coordinator, Reman to update ISO documentation by referencing historical job scopes, and technical documentation.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have considerable experience in a shop environment, and the necessary skills to build strong customer relationships and meet customer’s needs. Position requires excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills. Additional qualifications include previous experience with:

  • Proven organizational, communication (verbal and written), problem solving skills.
  • Highly developed Customer Relationship Management skills (internal and external) is essential.
  • Experience operating successfully within a Quality Management System environment such as ISO 9001 would be an asset.
  • Familiarity with modern Lean Production Methodology would be an asset.
  • Position requires proficiency in the use of the Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Access, and Word). A Solid knowledge of Maintenance Planning and Work Order Management software would be an asset.
