AECOM are currently seeking an experienced Program Controls Director to be based in Canada. The successful candidate will develop and manage the systems, procedures and tools necessary for control of time and cost of the Program and /or program, including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), planning / scheduling, earned value management, cost estimating, and contract management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Providing guidance and specialized assistance to programs / Programs for issues related to Program cost and time.
  • Developing and managing Program reporting formats and procedures.
  • Leading and managing teams consisting of Program controls specialists and planning & scheduling engineers.
  • Providing an oversight for development, review and monitoring of Program schedules, and the master program schedule incorporating the individual Program schedules.
  • Managing and coordinating the preparation and maintenance of budgets and cost estimates.
  • Leading the development and maintenance of WBS and development of schedules and budget data for WBS elements.
  • Providing recommendations to manage Program risks and improve the financial performance of the Program.
  • Supporting the Program team in maintaining timely and effective change management processes, procedures and systems.
  • Developing and maintaining status reports including schedule status, financial analysis, cost performance and earned value reports.
  • Developing and managing the system, structure and tools for document management systems.
  • Generating critical milestones for the construction stage for inclusion in tender documents through detailed discussions with the Program Manager, and evaluation of interfaces between buildings / infrastructure.
  • Monitoring and reporting the actual progress of the work versus the planned work. Monitor actual production rates and compare with plan.
  • Preparing technical Proposal and Tender evaluations.

Minimum Requirements

A minimum of 10+ years experience in construction and Program management industry is required with 5 years in a lead Program planning and controls role.

A Bachelor Degree in Program / Construction Management, Engineering or Business Administration is required.

Experience o projects of at least 1$B in transportation, water and wastewater, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Fully competent with Primavera (P6) planning, scheduling and Program control systems, along with other leading proprietary systems.
