Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities: Leading role in ensuring a safety-first culture through actively supporting the site’s health and safety program Manages preventative and predictive repair programs driven from manufacturer’s specifications Leads the maintenance team utilizing regular coaching and feedback; proactively supports team performance Establishes pre-set inspection, service check-lists, work orders and repair schedules Ensures that repairs are carried out in a cost efficient and timely manner, maximizing production capabilities and meeting all health and safety requirements Manage/implement CMMS, TPM and SMED programs Drive and support Continuous Improvement program(s) Utilize defined best practices to drive and support operational excellence in areas such as: predictive/preventive maintenance, mentoring and technical support for maintenance of processes/equipment Help develop plant maintenance and reliability plans, including expected deliverables and KPI’s Maintains accurate, up to date service records and technical logs for each major piece of equipment Creates and maintains contracts for all equipment and machine repairs not performed in house Where required, provides floor level support to detect, evaluate, and/or resolve any malfunction or issues with production equipment Manages and directs Tetra Pak Field Service Technicians Proactively improves technical processes and standards as appropriate Develops and implements technical training programs geared to enhance Service Technician competencies Key member of and active involvement in the Plant Steering Team Reviews and compiles the annual Maintenance department budget All other duties as assigned Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Post-secondary degree in an engineering discipline or related field. Formal Tetra Pak equipment and process training an asset Five years in a Technical Management or Supervisor role within food manufacturing industry Strong knowledge of electronics, controls, mechanical and electrical components found in food manufacturing machinery as well as proper safety standards for food production equipment Demonstrated technical and hands on experience with installation and repairs of manufacturing and packaging equipment Knowledge of lean and six sigma techniques and tools an asset Demonstrated problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills Experience in creating, executing, and monitoring manufacturing technical standards and procedures Experience using Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook and Internet) Education: Bachelor’s Degree Required – Type: Bachelors in Engineering preferred Minimum Experience Preferred: Five years of leadership experience within the food manufacturing industry Travel Requirements: Less than 10% Disability Assistance TreeHouse Foods is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and offers opportunities to all job seekers, including those with disabilities.
