Overview

Working as part of the Governance, Risk and Compliance department within the Information Security department at Mitel, the GRC Analyst will be responsible for day-to-day IT compliance, data governance, and IT risk management functions. The role will include primary responsibility for managing and processing Security Assurance requests, aiding to create and maintain department metrics. Other responsibilities are to assist in the support of risk assessments, legal and regulatory compliance needs as well as general IT and organizational information security practices.

Responsibilities

• Working with the Group Director, edit and collaborate to help maintain the currency of IT security standards, organizational policies and department process documentation as required
• Assist in the performance of Compliance and Risk management on new and existing processes, systems, and technology
• Support vendor due-diligence process and help to define the overall third-party risk management efforts
• Using international based standards such as ISO27001 and 27002 standards or SSAE18 audit standard, support various teams to meet cross compliance concerns such as but not limited to HIPAA, GDPR. CCPA etc.
• Perform business impact analysis and assist with risk metrics development
• Help to formalize and perform periodic gap assessments to validate compliance on an ongoing basis
• Stay up to date and informed on developing regulatory concerns and changing IT and information security trends
• Other duties as assigned
  

Requirements

• Experience with governance, risk, and compliance management in a global environment (preferably in IT)
• Experience working for a telecom/VOIP/Cloud based Communications company
• Some experience with assisting with IT Audit and Reviews using either SSAE18 audit standards or ISO27001 and 27002
• Minimum of 3 years of experience implementing risk based internal controls and risk trending analysis
• Familiarity with standard, security and compliance frameworks such as NIST CSF, PCI, CCPA, GDPR, ISO 27001/2
• Excellent skills using Excel and Powerpoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface with all levels of business
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail
• Must have successfully passed either the CISA or CISSP certification exam with the goal of acquiring both within the next five years. Having passed both ideal
• Have completed an undergraduate degree in finance/business/data science/information security preferred
• Strong organizational skills with ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment, leveraging best practices, and approaching any problem as a team-player with a can-do attitude
  

Additional Skills

• Strong understanding of fundamental information security concepts and technology
• Experience with IT GRC platforms (OneTrust, RSA Archer)
• Can work in a consultative style working environment
