Andrea Parliament Law Professional Corporation is a fast-growing Burlington law firm looking for someone to fill the role of a Customer Care Assistant to support a team of professionals. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and a team player, with the ability to work independently and excel in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal start date: Monday September 20th, 2021.

Responsibilities

Assist the professionals with day-to-day firm efficiencies while maintaining APL standards:
  • Answering phones;
  • Opening and closing files in PCLaw;
  • Taking and confirming client IDs;
  • Preparing discharges;
  • Organizing and maintaining physical will files;
  • Preparing for will signing meetings;
  • Managing calendars and scheduling comfort and strategy calls;
  • Sending mail and coordinating couriers and process servers;
  • Preparing documents for notarization and commission;
  • Data entry, scanning and faxing;
  • Preparing and sending out retainers and reporting letters;
  • Taking payments;
  • Assembling documents for court, including Affidavits, Motion records and Affidavits of Documents;
  • Preparing and maintaining a variety of documents using Microsoft Office; and
  • Following up with clients for feedback and reviews.
Work Hours & Benefits
  • Part-time, Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm with one half-hour lunch break.
  • APL bonus plan after your three-month probation.

Education And Experience
  • Post-secondary education required.
  • Proven successful experience in office administration, ideally at least five (5) years’ experience working in an office environment.
    • Retail or other customer service experience will be considered.
    • Experience in the legal field is an asset but not required.
