The Opportunity:

The Corporate Quality Manager will oversee all Corporate Quality Systems and Site Validation Master Plan to ensure adherence to company policies and Health Canada Regulations. The Corporate Quality Manager will provide support and guidance to all Valens facilities. The Corporate Quality Manager will collaborate with all site department heads on projects related to quality and process improvement to help uphold operational excellence and adherence to company policies and regulations. The Corporate Quality Manager reports directly to the Corporate Quality Director.

As Corporate Quality Manager you will:

  • Build, maintain, manage and coach a high performing team.
  • Monitoring and reporting of quality systems metrics to drive performance and identify trends for action.
  • Executes overall strategies, tactics and directions of corporate quality and Validation team in alignment with overall corporate goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and support the execution of the protocols through training, facilitating and problem-solving activities.
  • Provide guidance and assistance on validation formats, requirements and procedures as a team member on various validation projects.
  • Performs validation training for team members and provide resource information as a technical expert.
  • Works with other Valens sites to align and integrate quality systems. Implements Quality Systems in accordance with GPP and regulatory requirements including electronic quality management systems as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance productivity and efficiency of operations across the sites.
  • Leads the creation of technical guidance and quality compliance for Supplier Quality engagement throughout the qualified materials in accordance to cannabis industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements.
  • Support as subject matter expert during regulatory inspections.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director, Corporate Quality or Senior Director, Quality.

As a Corporate Quality Manager you bring:

  • BS or diploma in a related scientific discipline and at least 4-6 years of experience in Quality, Regulatory, Validation, or Operations in the Cannabis Industry or similar regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of Cannabis Regulations and Health Canada Regulations.
  • Experience performing audits and hosting regulatory inspections.
  • Proven ability to lead and implement multiple projects/tasks simultaneously with competing and/or changing priorities.
  • Capable of effectively presenting information to senior management, peers, clients and regulatory authorities.
  • Demonstrated experience in solving complex problems in quality, manufacturing and business processes.
  • Builds relationships, able to negotiate and influence, and manage change in a global environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and passion for lean/six sigma methodology, tools and process improvement.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • All successful candidates are required to pass background checks
