Project/Program Overview:
The Land Command Support System (LCSS) is the system of systems that primarily supports the Canadian Army in operations by providing commanders with the information and information services required to make effective and timely command and control decisions about their forces. It is an interconnected network of digital communications and information systems by which the data needed to plan, direct and control tactical land operations is communicated, stored, processed and displayed.

This role will be a combination of working remotely and onsite at our Ottawa office. We have a number of measures in place for onsite working – our top priority remains the health and safety of our colleagues
Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the requirements elicitation process and prepare requirements documents and specifications.
  • Develop and document system designs, define system interfaces, and conduct analyses with support from the lead system engineer and other senior engineers.
  • Build, configure, and validate test environments with some testing and report preparation at the Integration/configuration level.
  • Analyze System Integration Testing results and test data.
  • Coordinate with the System Integration team on testing required.
  • Identify and resolve issues/defects.
  • Verbal and written presentations to GDMS-C management and customers.
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Enineering, or applicable scientific discipline is required.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, problem solving and analysis skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Enthusiastic contributor, willing to learn new skills, and takes pride and ownership of work.
Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
