Chief of Staff
Since its acquisition, SCA has embarked on a fast-growth plan to become a leading player in the niche supply chain consulting industry.

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced strategist and operational leader to join our senior executive team, working directly with the Managing Partners to identify, build and drive the successful execution of our strategic priorities. From day one, the Chief of Staff will have an immediate impact on SCA’s growth trajectory, prioritizing opportunities, driving the implementation of operational processes, leading and coordinating the development of internal assets to support the growing business, championing the recruiting initiatives, and identifying ways to grow awareness of SCA’s brand in North America.

Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business management, including delivering strategic objectives, identifying and prioritising business opportunities, executing on special projects aligned to the strategic vision of the organization, delivering meaningful and impactful business communications, and providing advisory-like capacities for executive teams. What you will be doing:
  • Overseeing strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of the management team
  • Enabling decision making within the management team aligned to the strategic priorities, driving cross functional collaboration and efficiency with Metro Supply Chain
  • Implementing and refining new processes and organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity
  • Working collaboratively with management to identify new business opportunities and priorities
  • Defining and delivering SCA’s governance structure to enable data driven, holistic and timely decision making across the organization
  • Leading annual strategic planning cycles with the broader management team, including the business casing and consolidation of strategic priorities into a formalized strategic plan, and communicating identified priorities to key stakeholders
  • Working closely with marketing to bolster SCA’s profile in the market, ensuring the voice of the Managing Partners and strategic priorities of the organization are reflected in all internal and external communications, including press releases, marketing and media, awards submissions, speaking opportunities, etc.
  • Driving employee engagement through effective communications and change management led from the Managing Partners
  • Liaising with Metro Supply Chain, the parent company, to drive synergies and leverage capabilities to build out scalable back-office solutions
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Office of the Managing Partners, prioritizing and actioning the most pressing business priorities to support SCA’s strategic vision in conjunction with members of the management team and direct reports as required
  • Provide extended capacity for the Managing Partners and the management team, including opportunity identification, executing on special projects, and delivering in an individual contributor capacity when required
  • Serve as a liaison between staff, senior leaders and the Managing Partners regarding company climate, team member well-being, project and product updates, proposals and planning
  • Build and develop relationships with all team members while driving a culture of collaboration, communication and transparency
  • Help to define new operational strategies in conjunction with the Managing Partners and the management team on special projects
  • Deliver high-impact presentations in pursuance of strategic business opportunities including investor decks, partnership responses and Board communications

What you should have:
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or a similar field
  • 7+ years in a business or executive management role
  • Consulting experience with a focus on strategy and operations management
  • Demonstrates strong business acumen coupled with deep analytical capability
  • Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
  • Extremely versatility, dedicated to efficient productivity
  • Proven experience organizing and directing cross functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience leading teams and making decisions in an executive capacity
  • Experience translating data into insights to enable decision making
  • Experience with budget management and FP&A cycles
  • Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication
  • Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions
