Job Summary

Responsible for the delivery of products to customers and assisting with warehouse tasks such as loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, returns, forklift, fabrication, counter, or may have a generalized role working in all departments.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities

• Loads and unloads material from the truck and assures proper documentation accompanies all material being loaded onto or unloaded from the truck.
• Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication and transportation of goods.
• May drive truck to pick up incoming stock or deliver materials to designated locations or operate forklift or other machinery in order to complete tasks.
• Ensures deliveries are on time. Greets and interacts with customers. Observes customer opportunities and problems and report them to the Warehouse Manager.
• Maintains the company vehicle in accordance with local, provincial, and/or federal legislation, as well as company protocol.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Must have a valid DZ Driver’s License.
• Drivers abstract required meeting the following minimum requirements:
• 2 or fewer speeding tickets, and,
• No distracted driving tickets/infractions.
  

Nature And Scope

• Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from the supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.
• Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.
  

Work Environment

• Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors, such as dust, fumes or odours, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
• Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate to heavyweight (8-50 pounds).
• No overnight travel is required.
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must provide Driver’s Abstract.
  

Education And Experience

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. 0-2 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• Ability to read and follow maps and directions to customer locations.
• Professional when dealing with team members and customers.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
