Do you have warehouse and Forklift operation experience? Are you willing to clear a criminal background check and pass a drug and alcohol screening? If so, we have an opportunity for you!

Our clients in the Saskatoon area are looking for a long-term contract employee to work in our solid core department and come with the opportunity of being brought on as a FULL-time permanent employee for the right fit!

By following directions provided by your supervisor you will assist your team in various projects including operating a forklift, warehouse duties, and maintenance jobs.

The successful applicants for the position of Solid Core Contact Worker will have previous experience in a similar role and a minimum of 2 professional supervisory references. Work rotating 12 hr. shifts, 7 am – 7 pm( day shift), for 2 days and 7 pm - 7 am (night shift with $2 premium wage increase!) for another 2 days with 4 days off on a rotation basis.

**Please note overtime is paid when you work over 12 hrs in a day or 80 hrs over the 2 week period**

Responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and climb steps/ladders as well as lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping at all times and continuously upgrade the standard as well as maintain production statistics.
  • Forklift Operation.
  • Tasks and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Must complete company medical to wear a full respirator and drive mobile equipment. Also, must complete a criminal background check paid for by Randstad.

The most important job requirements are forklift experience, safety awareness, willingness to learn/work, and attendance. If people have poor attendance, do not fit culturally (safety), or are unable to learn/demonstrate skills in a timely manner they will be let go.
  • Be able to wear a full-face respirator (clean-shaven for the seal between mask and skin)
  • Demonstrated safe mobile lift operations. (forklift certified)
  • Demonstrated ability to understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analyses (JSEAs).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage all necessary shift paperwork.
  • Demonstrated ability in effective problem solving and troubleshooting in a variety of situations.
  • Ability to communicate with peers, supervisors, and managers particularly in areas of safety, quality, and performance.
  • Comprehensive ability to read and write in English.
  • Mechanical Aptitude.
  • Be available to work overtime, shift work, holidays, and weekends as needed.
  • Permeant Canadian Residency
  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
