Nabatech Communications Ltd. is searching for experienced and entry level Aerial Technicians (Tower Riggers)with the ability to perform all required duties associated with the installation of communication towers, accessories, and antenna systems on towers, poles and rooftops. We have multiple positions open for Tower Riggers based out of our Leduc, Alberta office. Ideal candidates should have at least 2 yearsof tower rigging experience, as well as experience working on the latest wireless cellular technologies, however, entry level applications are welcome.

While the majority of work will be localized to Edmonton and Northern Alberta, candidates must be willing to travel to various locations across Canada for up to 6 weeks at a time.

DAY TO DAY INCLUDES:

· Install various antenna, antenna mounts and transmission lines along with ancillary equipment on communication structures and rooftops.

· Assembling and installation of various types of antennas, running all transmission lines up the tower. installing connectors on transmission lines along with hoisting grips, hangers and ground kits, adjusting antennas on tower with the correct azimuth and tilts, and performing microwave antenna alignment.

· Install various ancillary items on a communication tower including: wave-guide bridge for transmission lines. ice guards on tower to protect dishes, anti-climbs and fall arrest systems, lighting systems, and grounding systems.

· Ensure that all company equipment is well maintained and in safe operating condition, conduct inventory inspections and sort received materials on site.

· Identify and select cables, ropes, blocks and tackle by weight and size of load to be hoisted.

· Perform plumb and tension operation on guyed structures.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Experience installing the current wireless cellular technologies.

· Experience with tower erection would be considered an asset.

· Valid driver’s license is an asset.

· Ability to understand the principle of tower erection (both self-supporting and guyed structures), and familiar with tower foundation, installation, erection, antenna and transmission line systems.

· Must be able to competently read construction drawings and wiring diagrams.

· Successful completion of Fall Protection and High Angle Rescue Training considered an asset, however complete training will be provided by Nabatech.

· Working knowledge of fall protection practices and procedures.

· Must be willing to travel, as this position includes frequent travel to sites across Alberta, and potential to work in other provinces.

· This position requires heavy lifting, manual dexterity and proficient use of hand and power tools.

· Must be comfortable working at heights of up to 500 feet and greater, handling tools.

· Must be willing to provide industry references.

· Must be willing to provide Criminal Background Check.

· Must be willing to provide Pre-Access Alcohol and Drug tests in order to work on certain sites.
