POSITION: Tap Room Supervisor

The Grizzly Paw Brewing Company is a Microbrewery and Pub located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. With a focus on Micro-Brewed beer and hand made Sodas the company occupies a 20,000 square foot landmark building.

The Tap Room Supervisor is the support role for the brewery retail operations. This person will need to have strong customer service skills, a passion for excellence and the ability to make empowered decisions. This position will be based out of our brewing facility, but will be required to have the flexibility to carry out tasks at each location as required. Strong relationship skills are required, as this position will interact with customers, colleagues and government bodies.

Hourly wage, + gratuities as dictated by tip pool rules for the department

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with inquiries, tastings, food & beverage service and brewery tours
• Complete retail sales & cashiering
• Assist with booking private tours & groups
• Assist in special events décor & set up
• Collaborate with summer and winter merchandise line up development
• Provide support and training for retail associates
• Generate wholesale invoices for internal sales related to beer and soda
• Answer and direct the calls coming into the brewery, following up as required
• Merchandise and supplies orders for shop’s use
• Ensure the shops are stocked and well maintained
• Assist with sales review & analysis, merchandising and promotions development
• Maintain POS & software: Touch Bistro, ticket sales, shopify, square, emails
• Record monthly inventory
• Assist with leadership of tap room team: scheduling, performance management, reviews
• Develop and maintain close and effective working relationship with all supporting departments
• Follow health & safety guidelines at all time
• Consider the environmental impact of all decisions
• Other duties and projects as assigned
  

Qualifications And Education

• 2-3 years’ experience in the hospitality industry
• Extensive knowledge of the craft beer industry and a passion for all things beer.
• Strong knowledge with a variety of software programs required; Microsoft Office, EKOS, POS, etc.
• Degree in hospitality, restaurant or retail management or related discipline a strong asset
• Results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities
