- Respond to customer service calls and complete annual and monthly inspections.
- Equipment installation and panel programming as needed
- Required to participate in the 24hr on-call rotation
- Complete and submit written service reports covering all aspects of each assignment and activity; Ensure that all site files are kept up to date for each contract
- Participate in the Installation to Service handovers on assigned jobs
- Represent the company at the customer sites professionally at all times
- Update the Site database to keep records current
- Test and verify system readings ensuring an optimal system operation
- Make recommendations for improvement or system change
- Work closely with other teams to maintain customer satisfaction and quality assurance procedures
- Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act at all times: Ensure all damaged or faulty equipment is immediately returned to the warehouse with the appropriate documentation; Ensure that all test equipment and tools issued by the Company are maintained in good condition kept secure and tested.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management
- Minimum College Education in Electronics
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in programming, service, and maintenance of Fire Alarm systems
- Valid CFAA (Canadian Fire Alarm Association) certification; or enrolled / working toward certification
- Proven diagnostic skills – able to systematically identify and resolve technical problems
- Knowledge of IP Networks, C-Cure systems and MS-Office applications
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel
- Customer focused and good customer relationship building and management skills
- Self-motivated and calm under pressure
- Good understanding of Building and Fire codes
- Good communication skills in English both written and verbal
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Preferred - Experience with Siemens Fire Alarm systems
- Perform installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting activities on Intrusion Alarm Systems, Access Control, CCTV, etc.
