Job Purpose

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the management of the client’s supply chain. Areas of focus include the procurement and management of commodities of a particularly complex, customized, and high value nature, and ensuring the optimal flow of defect free materials at the lowest total acquisition cost. The Supply Chain Manager also ensures proper action is taken to achieve the most cost effective and business effective solution.

Nature Of Duties/ Responsibilities
  • Developing supply chain strategy to support customer and Sanmina requirements, from Proto through EOL cycle.
  • Contributing information for customer bids and proposals with a short turnaround.
  • Focusing on supply chain processes that will optimize ROA.
  • Defining and assessing risk of supply to customer, and provide strategic plan for risk parts.
  • Monitoring of supply chain execution.
  • Analyzing and approving customer engineering change notices.
  • Communicating to Purchasing the customer strategy.
  • Escalating resources to Purchasing for supply issues, ensuring that all technical and commercial solutions are explored.
  • Preparing and presenting supply chain performance metrics at Customer Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Building and maintaining supplier relations to ensure support for Sanmina and end customer.
  • Preparing accurate analyses to determine total cost of acquisition.
  • Managing the supply chain to meet customized needs based on a close, direct relationship with the customer.
  • Planning and project managing the integration of activities which contribute to the customer’s supply chain, such as procurement, inventory control, planning, and quality control of production materials.
  • Working with Finance to manage inventory carrying costs.
  • Developing and implementing cross-functional processes and systems to ensure materials are available as required in the supply chain, and that inventory is maintained at minimum acceptable levels.
  • Sourcing, negotiating and managing supply contracts for raw materials, and coordinate global procurement efforts.
  • Making decisions based on knowledge of materials management principles and operational goals. Therefore, detailed investigation and analysis is frequently required and may include nebulous or intangible factors.
Education And Experience
  • University Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years’ progressive and diversified procurement or supply chain management experience in a Design & Manufacturing environment. Experience working in a contract manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Certification from Procurement/Materials Management related Professional Programs, or equivalent.
  • Involvement with Professional Associations is expected.
  • Oracle and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills is required, specifically in Excel.
  • Well organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to meet deadlines and handle multiple demands.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environments.
