Dishwasher

Description

Dishwashers provide an outstanding experience for our guests by ensuring a sanitary and safe environment in our kitchens. They are responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment, dishes, pots, floors, and other kitchen surfaces as required. This is a physically demanding position that requires some manual labour, lifting, carrying, and standing for long periods of time.

Essential Functions

• Following policies and standards of Marek Inc. as well as adhere to workplace safety and food safety/sanitation regulations
• Conduct daily inspections of work areas and keep all work areas clean and sanitary
• Fill in logs to ensure proper chemical levels with the equipment
• Load, operate and empty dishwasher, and put dishes away
• Maintain food handling and sanitation standards; understand and implement Marek Inc.’s Health & Safety Standards
• Clean the fridge, freezer and other kitchen equipment as directed by the Chef Manager or Sous Chef
• Maintain highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen
• Daily cleaning of the screens and weekly full empty of the grease trap to help maintain the equipment
• Understand and comply with loss prevention policies and procedures
  
  

Experience/Requirements

• Passion for providing outstanding guest service
• 1-2 years’ experience in a food service establishment
• Self-motivator with a positive attitude
• Ability to perform manual labour, heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time
• Excellent time management and teamwork skills
• Safety and WHMIS training are an asset.
• Knowledge of basic safety requirements and food handling safety standards
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to lift (10 kg), pull and push heavy loads and be exposed to extreme temperatures
  
  

Position Details

• Location: 1 Sunshine Village Access Road, Banff AB, T1L1J5
• Hours- Full-time ranging from 20-40hrs/ week, business level dependent
