Department Overview
Reporting to the Director of Video Supply Chain, Avigilon is seeking an experienced, highly qualified, and capable Director procurement. This role will be responsible for managing and leading the for Global Video sustaining procurement, supplier dropship programs, access control category management, and critical stock management.
Job Description
In this role you will:
Design, optimize, and execute a strategy for procuring raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods to drive world class performance and rapid growth
Provide leadership including strategic planning, operation/process focus, risk management, executive escalation management
Lead and transform the procurement team to align with long-term vision
Evaluate global purchasing performance across multiple Video brands to maximize on-time delivery, quality, and total cost.
Be responsible for providing and sharing expert level global category knowledge into procurement and executive teams
Evaluate and develop organization-wide procurement policies and procedures for the implementation of standard best practices.
Support regional manufacturing and distribution driving world class customer experiences.
Manage and mentor the procurement management, including setting performance objectives and vision
Create an efficient procurement culture based on strong process, continuous improvement, and team development.
Maintain supplier relationships to improve value to the organization
Develop and implement innovative ideas within the supply base and communicate to business teams.
Drive accountability and provide strong leadership
Liaise with Engineering on material requirements for the transition of new and existing products into manufacturing.
Preferred Skills:
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Customer Focus: Deep passion for customer success, coupled with a driving motivation to solve their problems and continually improve their experience
Ability to lead a global team to achieve desired outcomes in US and Canada would be an asset.

Basic Requirements
Required Skills:
Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain, or Technology
7+ years of Operational Management experience required.
