Sous Chef

We are looking to expand our staff to include some enthusiastic people that enjoy the hospitality industry or want to explore working in our new location at East Point. We have a great team that come with lots of expertise and are very positive to work with. At Taste Of Egypt, we take pride in serving up a great product with great service. In order to maintain that level of excellence, we need to have great staff with a lot of motivation to do well in their positions and on-going training. We are looking for people with a lot of energy and enthusiasm for cuisine who may be willing to explore something new. Our guests are so important to us and we want them to not only remember the server that they had but also the beautiful atmosphere, how clean the restaurant was and how excellent and consistent the food is. Job Duties:

-Planning the menu and preparing food items, which includes specialty or seasonal offerings

-Estimating needed supplies and filing up orders accordingly

-Coordinating the workflow and schedules of other kitchen staff members

-Training staff and introducing new cooking practices to the team

-Preparing and cooking offered dishes.

-Ongoing coaching and evaluating staff.

-Working on expanding the business services provided to Saint John.

Skills and Qualifications:

-Excellent ability to multitask

-Excellent knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques

-Strong organizational skills

-Excellent ability to work under pressure

-Good communication skills for recruiting and training new staff members

-Excellent teaching abilities

-Good leadership skills

-Ability and experience in handling menu planning including costing and designing the layout of menus.

- Ability to lead a team to success and overcome barriers in the kitchen.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $35,360.00 per year
