We’re currently on the search for a Site Superintendent with 5+ years experience in leading and directing construction site activities in the multi-family residential construction industry to join our growing team in Winnipeg, MB.

The initial project for this role is leading a site for a 108 unit Mid-rise Senior Independent Living with amenities project located in Winnipeg, MB that is currently in framing. As our Site Superintendent, you will be accountable for leading and supervising Trade Partners and site activities to manage site conditions while facilitating the deficiency free delivery of multi-family construction projects, built with superior quality and safety standards.

Your accountabilities include:

• Coordinate all construction related items on site.
• Completing daily inspections of site.
• Document, distribute and resolve deficiencies using an approved deficiency management method.
• Diligently enforcing Porchlight SECOR Certified Health & Safety Program; Ensure the overall safety of all workers onsite by performing regular checks and inspections.
• Coordinating and supervising site activities within the guidelines of Quality Procedures and Standards, monitoring quality control to ensure objectives are met.
• Remaining informed and in the know on the general scopes of work.
• Monitoring and reporting progress against established construction project schedules.
• Confirming proper trade staffing levels are onsite each day to ensure that the project is completed as scheduled.
• Confirming and ensuring that proper materials and quantities of materials are onsite each day prior to daily work commencing.
• Conduct weekly Trade and Safety Meetings and report on construction progress.

Your Qualifications

• 5+ years of well-rounded experience as a Site Supervisor managing sites for mid-rise & townhome wood framed multi-family construction and amenity center projects from start to finish.
• Highly safety-oriented with ability and willingness to enforce Porchlight’s SECOR Certified Health and Safety Program.
• Current Level 1 First Aid Certification is a must.
• Commitment to thorough and consistent communication, both written and verbal.
• Superior attention to detail
• Well organized with the ability to prioritize responsibilities effectively
• Ability to manage and lead 20 or more people on a regular basis.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work.
• A demonstrated track record of dealing successfully and diplomatically with Trade Partners and Stakeholders.
• Experience with Procore Construction Management Software an asset.
• Experience working with Bluebeam Software an asset.
• Proven ability to take initiative and confirm the accuracy of information.
• Diplomatic with highly effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Able to work overtime as necessary to meet project deadlines.
