About the Role

As a Senior Support Model and Governance Consultanton the Production Preparedness team, you will be joining a growing practice within Workday’s Services organization. The focus on encouraging our customers to plan for their post-production support and governance model during the deployment of the Workday solution, is a critical differentiator that drives significant value and self-sufficiency. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise as a customer or a leader in HRIS/FINIS/SCM/IT to engage in multiple aspects of the service. You will contribute to the design and delivery of a framework that shares leading practices on team model designs, tools, and governance, as well as an ongoing strategy for innovation.
  • Lead the Production Preparedness workstream of one or more concurrent Workday deployments, enabling customer support readiness and on-going innovation.
  • Recommend and advise designs, based on leading practices, of similar customers support and governance models, resources, stakeholder relationships, support tools, processes and desired level of self-sufficiency.
  • Prepare for and facilitate advanced customer discussions to outline the future support and governance vision and strategic guiding principles.
  • Utilize customer discussions, to identify operational priorities and impacts, that support alignment to strategic decisions.
  • Support business development activities such as discovery, proposals, presentations, pricing, marketing and enablement
  • Contribute to the development of thought leadership (white papers, reports, presentations, keynotes, etc.) targeting internal and external audiences
  • Partner with internal Workday customer teams to create a cohesive, consistent customer experience

About You

Basic Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience leading support and post-production governance programs of large-scale process/technology projects and/or other transformational initiatives
  • At least two (2) years of experience as an internal or external consultant
  • Have a general understanding of the Workday system and/ or other similar SaaS business systems
  • Functional expertise in HCM, Financials and/or Supply Chain or Student
  • Based in United States or Canada
  • Ability to travel ~30%

Other Qualifications
  • Experience leading support teams and participating as a strategic stakeholder on business system governance committees
  • Experience supporting Workday in a global environment with both Workday HCM and Workday Financial Management and/or Supply Chain Management or Student
  • Experience on technology implementation projects (Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Siebel, Salesforce.com, SuccessFactors, custom solutions)
  • Experience in an HR, Finance and/or Supply Chain organization
  • Experience managing teams of employees and/or subcontractors
  • Experience with business development activities (i.e. discovery, proposal development, SOWs, pricing, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, employ research and apply problem-solving skills
  • Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to work effectively across teams, overcome resistance and navigate a complex, matrix organizations
  • Advanced communication skills - both written and oral, with the demonstrated ability to simplify complex concepts and messages to essential components and deliver effective messages to a wide range of audiences.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in teamwork and leadership, including the desire and eagerness to mentor and assist in the professional development of junior staff members
  • Bachelor’s degree and Advanced degree in related field
