As a software developer in our Hardware R&D team you will play a key role in the development of sophisticated robotic and automation hardware for use in laboratories around the world.

A day in the Life:

• Participate in the development of new hardware products.
• Collaborate with marketing and other teams to produce software designs and implementations.
• Continue development of legacy products.
• Opportunities for hands on experience with various types of hardware such as articulated arms, SCARA and AMRs!

Keys to Success:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably related to engineering, technology or software development.
• An advanced degree related to engineering or software development preferred.

Experience

• 10+ years of team software development with working knowledge of unit testing, source code control, defect tracking, and version management.
• 5+ years of in c#.
• 2+ years developing Laboratory automation/robotics control software.
• Experience in building back-end business logic with multi-threading.
• Experience with service-based architectures.
• Experience with embedded device programming and motion control.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Strong proficiency in developing applications using c# and .net.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software industry methodologies such as SOLID.
• Strong problem solving and analytical ability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
