As the Research Professional Senior, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of research projects related to a programmatic area of focus, that align with Yukon University’s Strategic Directions and values, build northern capacity, and addresses northern needs. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree preferably at the PhD level in a relevant STEM field, combined with experience in the power system domain, gained in an appropriate scientific/technical/professional environment such as a university, research institute, or government department.

If you have strong communication, inter-personal, organizational, problem-solving, critical-thinking, time management, and creative skills, and a demonstrated ability to initiate actions, lead a team and work with minimal supervision please apply. Conditions of employment include a valid Driver’s License, Standard First Aid & CPR (minimum), or equivalent and the ability to occasionally travel to field locations, Yukon communities, and conferences.
