Overview Of The Opportunity

IT Services in Canada are divided into three core functions Project Services, Knowledge Services and Technology.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Network Infrastructure, the Senior Network Analyst is a key technical resource responsible for supporting and maintaining the corporate network infrastructure. The Senior Network Analyst will leverage a deep understanding of networking technology and protocols to support and troubleshoot KPMG’s advanced infrastructure. This person will be a member of a nation-wide team of technical staff focused on building, supporting, and maintaining KPMG’s network and IT infrastructure. The Analyst has strong communication skills, is proactive, needs little supervision and is comfortable working in an environment that deals with various levels of management. There are no people management responsibilities. On-call availability is required.

What You Will Do
  • Support KPMG’s core Cisco technologies, Cisco SDWAN, Cisco SD-Access, and Cisco ACI, with a focus on proactive improvement of network health - solving issues before they impact applications and services
  • Support, administration and configuration of Cisco wireless network devices and policies
  • Work closely with Operations, Support and Architecture team members to implement proactive approaches to monitoring and reporting on network services that maximize uptime, reliability and visibility
  • Document/Develop/Review operational processes and troubleshooting guides for Network Support and Operations staff
  • Work with Cisco and other vendors to resolve KPMG network issues
  • Perform application updates, security patches and configuration changes on network hardware, services and systems.
  • Work with support vendors to resolve issues, and to improve KPMG’s networks.
  • Work as a resource on multiple concurrent projects and ensure implementation of network services and solutions to meet business requirements.
At times, business needs arise, and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal work day or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job. Likewise, people need extra time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this.

What You Bring To The Role
  • College Diploma or University Degree in the field of computer science and/or 5 years equivalent work experience
  • Experience with supporting a medium to large Cisco SDWAN environment - Experience implementing and administering Viptela appliances
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting SDA environment using Cisco DNAC
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting Cisco ISE, as it relates to SD-Access security controls
  • Experience supporting a Cisco wireless environment - WLC’s, Meraki and AP’s,
  • Experience supporting routing and switching in a complex Cisco based network environment that includes voice, video and data.
  • Experience administering Cisco ACI policy administration is preferred
  • Experience of Palo Alto Firewall administration
  • Experience of Load Balancer administration, Netscaler SDX/MPX preferred
  • Working knowledge of QoS concepts and configuration
  • Ability to review network flows and metrics proactively to determine potential trouble spots in the network before they lead to business impact
  • Sound knowledge of TCP/IP and network routing protocols, including EIGRP and BGP
  • Understanding of Netflow and SNMP protocols
This is a remote/hybrid position.
