Job Description

What you can expect in a typical day:

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be a key member of the finance team and report to a Senior Manager of Finance.  You will support Senior Management, Finance Teams, Operational Groups, Information Technology and Governance and Intelligence Teams. This will be executed through provision of financial analytics and management reporting analysis and solutions. You will support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting process, dashboard solutions, scorecard reporting, operating performance and periodic reporting requirements and automation throughout the business.

Your Roles And Responsibilities
  • Support Corporate leaders with their financial reporting including preparing and presenting budgets and forecasts and analysis of results.
  • Prepare consolidated financial reports for management including monthly forecasts and cost stewardship reports and the annual budgets and 5-year plan.
  • Prepare consolidated financial reports for quarterly Audit and Finance Committee and Board meetings.
  • Analysis of consolidated financial results and scenario and sensitivity modeling.
  • Work with Treasury to prepare required and adhoc reports for external stakeholders.
  • Seek opportunities to develop tools for users that will simplify or automate repetitive or time-consuming work, reduce company risk, or provide greater insight into the business.
  • Design and develop new reports and report modifications primarily using Cognos tools.
  • Develop tools, and document processes, for planning, budgeting and forecasting primarily using Excel and Cognos tools.

  • Must be comfortable communicating with individuals at all levels within the organization. 
Travel
  • Travel is not a requirement for this position.
Education And Experience
  • Post-secondary degree in business focusing in accounting or finance.
  • CPA Designation, or advanced degree in accounting or finance, is required.
  • Demonstration of progressively advancing accounting/finance experience.
