CMP Group Ltd., a leading provider of Marine Products, Construction, and Industrial solutions is seeking a Senior Cast Operator to join Delta, British Columbia location/team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Senior Cast Operator will be running the Die Cast Machine, and assisting with finishing operations including grinding, deburring, drilling, tapping and vibratory operations.Benefits

Responsibilities
  • Follow all the safety policies of the company, safe working procedures, emergency procedures and accident and safety reporting procedures.
  • Safely, efficiently, and effectively operate & troubleshoot the Die Cast machine
  • Perform finishing operations including, grinding, deburring, drilling, tapping and vibratory operations.
  • Perform general clean up.
  • Assist with Internal/External Audits
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
  • 3 + years experience running a Die Cast machine and troubleshooting
  • Comfortable working in a labor-intensive environment, standing for most of the day and performing repetitive tasks
  • Comfortable lifting up to 20-40 pounds
  • Adaptable, flexible and available to work different shifts (rotational shift- Day Shift, Afternoon Shift, or Graveyard) based on the needs of the business
  • Ability to set up and tear down dies
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Completion of NADCA courses (Asset)
  • Completed Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Valid Forklift Operators license (Asset)
  • Ability to follow process.
  • Good dexterity
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Willing to take any additional training/courses as required
  • Occupational First Aid Attendant certified or willingness to do so
Hours
  • Monday to Friday
  • Day shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm
