Senior BI Analyst - Logistics, Canada

To achieve this, we are redesigning our Business Intelligence group by embedding analysts within each functional team, moving away from a fully centralized model.

The Senior BI Analyst - Logistics, Canada will be working for the Skip Logistics’ dedicated data team with a dotted line reporting line to the Central Data team. The role’s main focus will be on the Canadian Market where you will be supporting a range of initiatives delivering them actionable insights, accurate data, Tableau dashboards, quantifications of issues, evaluations of project benefits and measuring outcomes. The outputs of your work will influence decision making and your recommendations will impact our roadmap. The role is very hands-on and will require strong technical skills as well as the ability to comprehend complex problems. We are thus looking for someone who is passionate about data, quick on their feet and is curious to learn more about the way we work.

What’s On Your Plate:

• Support key initiatives in the business by providing data, insights and recommendations
• Collaborate with various teams within Logistics, Product, Data and others to deliver projects
• Deep dive into network issues, tools or product features to find opportunities for improvement
• Build out new metrics to measure impact of changes or to better understand our current state of play
• Create and maintain tracking and performance dashboards
• Communicate data insights and recommendations to relevant stakeholders
• Train fellow team members and new colleagues on the usage of the various data & analytics tools available

Recipe for Success:

• 3-5+ years’ experience in analytics or a related role
• Logical analytical problem solver - able to spot trends and indicate the key drivers behind it. Support/develop comparative analysis and tests. Deliver actionable insights.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with complex data structures
• Understanding of Github and Airflow considered an asset
• Reasonable understanding of statistics
• Visualization skills with Tableau (or similar), Google Sheets, Excel
• Proactive, self-motivated and curious, ability to run with an idea
• Work well under pressure and can balance multiple priorities
• Great communication skills and able to explain data to various audiences
• Combination of BI, computer science, business analytics, or engineering education and experience is an asset
