Great Blue Resorts owns and operates 8 private resort lakefront properties located throughout Ontario’s cottage country. These properties offer outright ownership of beautiful pre-manufactured seasonal recreational cottages. Our resorts have full facilities including community areas, swimming pools, splash pads, multi-sports courts, playgrounds and beaches.

We are looking for a Vice President, Sales and Marketing for our St Catharines office.

Duties:
  • Monitoring effective Park model marketing strategies;
  • Providing leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales team while maintaining focus on the company’s overall strategic goals;
  • Holding sales advisors accountable for profitable Park Model sales growth by achieving targeted weekly, monthly and annual goals;
  • Providing strategic and tactical direction to the sales advisors by developing and evaluating new initiatives;
  • Monitoring consistent self-generated energy sales and weekly sales funnel activities of sales advisors, including Kijiji, Facebook, and other social media changes, Cottages in Canada and other opportunities, owner contact follow-up with vacation quests, and monitoring relationships with corporate generated leads;
  • Working within a region of Ontario as business needs require, which may include Muskoka, Kawarthas, Prince Edward County, Land O’ Lakes or Niagara;
  • Effectively overseeing day-to-day sales operations, and ensuring that performance is on track to achieve profit and growth objectives;
  • Identifying gaps in performance and implementing needed corrective actions while working with Sales Trainers to improve sales performance and developing effective strategies for both new and seasoned team members;
  • Coordinating sales training programs with the Sales Trainer that enables team members to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives;
  • Enforcing Sales Processes;
  • Supporting Script skills practices;
  • Critiquing tours daily;
  • Scheduling weekly monitoring visits to resorts; and
Promoting the propriety of the company team members, current, and potential customers, vendors, and the community suppliers.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of Park Model sales operations management experience, including substantial experience at the senior sales level
  • Proven track record of running a successful sales operation in a growing market;
  • Analytical background with keen business acumen, a strong financial understanding of associated sales costs, and desired margins, and the ability to plan to achieve sales quotas and targets;
  • The ability to lead and develop a team through effective coaching and communication with a focus on driving results and professional standards;
  • Proven organizational and problem-solving capabilities with experience in multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment;
