RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide service to all dining room patrons ensuring that all Hilton Standards of Service are being met or exceeded
• Greeting & seating of guests in the dining room
• Coordinate delivery of food items with the kitchen
• Makes recommendations for guests regarding menu options and up-sells alcoholic beverages
• Ensures all orders are entered in Micros accurately, noting any substitutions, requests or allergies
• Ensures all cash-handling procedures are followed and ensures all transactions are accurate
• Takes ownership of guest complaints, finding creative ways to solve problems and follow-ups with the guest
• Assist in other Food and Beverage areas as required, including bartending and banquet service.
• Set up and tear down of buffets
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years of previous serving experience is require
• Serving It Right Certificate is required
• Able to work effectively in a team environment
• Previous experience with Micros or a similar POS system
• Food Safe Certificate is an asset
• Knowledge of wine, spirits and general bartending an asset
• Organized and able to take initiative
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
