Job Title: Research Technician

While over 90% of therapeutics available currently target extracellular components to affect biochemical pathways or induce internalization into endosomes, our iPTD technology enables the delivery of cargo into the cytosol of a cell. This breakthrough opens up a wide selection of cytosolic targets for therapeutic or research purposes.

Job Description:

We are looking for talented biologists that are committed to their job, and passionate about translational life-science research. Applicants must be eager to learn advanced techniques such as cloning, protein production, protein purification, protein characterization, and mammalian tissue culture.

Job Description:

– Perform DNA/RNA extraction, cloning, and qPCR

– Routine maintenance and culture of mammalian cells (tumor cell lines and primary cells)

– Assist in development and troubleshooting of new procedures

– Survey scientific literature as required

– Detailed documentation and reporting of scientific experiments

– Preparation of solutions and ordering of reagents and lab supplies as required

Qualifications:

– Fresh graduate (2020/2021), with a major in Microbiology / Immunology / Biochemistry/Biology

– Previous co-op experience with aseptic techniques is an asset

– Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

– Must demonstrate critical thinking and a thorough understanding of laboratory techniques

– Must be highly motivated with the ability to learn and grow in the company

– Leadership skills with the ability to train and supervise co-op students is desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $16.00-$22.00 per hour
