Gateway Mechanical currently has an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic within our Construction team!

As the Refrigeration Mechanic you will install new equipment and perform renovation repairs for our valued clients on Project sites while show casing your exceptional customer service skills.

Duties:

• Install new equipment
• Pipe multiplex, and stand alone refrigeration and air conditioning systems
• Hang and safely place large refrigeration components
• Perform renovation repairs
• Work within the construction industry in commercial and industrial environments such as Supermarkets, Datacentres, Institutions, etc.
• Perform work using hand & power tools in a safe manner.
• Read and interpret blue prints
• Maintain clean and operable equipment, vehicle and work area at all times.
• Complete the required daily equipment inspections, safety reports, and Field Level Hazard Assessments.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Technical expertise of a Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic

Experience & Qualifications:

• Journeyman Certification
• Experience in supermarket installation and service.
• Experience in the Construction Industry.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license with a acceptable 5 year driving abstract
• Valid safety certifications such as First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, CSTS, PSTS, Fall Protection, AWP, H2S Alive, considered an asset.
