At Sinai Health, we care, create possibilities and offer hope. We are looking for an experienced Recreation Therapist to support our Central Recreation department.

Responsibilities
The Recreation Therapist is responsible for the direct provision of recreation therapy services to patients, as well as assisting in program planning, implementation and evaluation on an on-going basis. This position is responsible for the assessment and implementation of recreation therapy treatment interventions and/or services for specific patient care programs. The work entails interacting with other interdisciplinary team members and patients to determine the most appropriate and effective course of treatment for patients in need of recreation therapy and implementing interventions in accordance with the standards of practice for the discipline.

Job Requirements
  • University degree in Recreation Therapy or a University degree in a related field with a postgraduate diploma in the field of Recreation.
  • At least one year previous work experience in a Recreation Therapy setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated satisfactory job performance and attendance history required
