We are one of Canada’s fastest growing, locally owned Generator installation, repair and service organizations. We build our own Generators and have both commercial and residential units. We also work on Engines for Mitsubishi, FPT Industrial (Fiat), Baudouin, Doosan and many others. We are currently looking for a Purchaser for our Mississauga, On branch.The purpose of this role is to assist in sourcing and supplying all material demands for the organization and our customers. This involves receiving and fulfilling demand from internal and external customers, quoting internal and external customers, vendor management, procurement, material costing, inventory management, and material kitting. Success for this role is measured by our ability to deliver the required parts to our operations team and our customers “on time and on budget”.Main Responsibilities- Supporting Supply Chain team in the timely supply of materials and fulfillment of demand for external customer orders, service work orders, and assembly work orders/bill of materials.
- Creating purchase orders in the Materials Requirement Planning system.
- Placing/confirming purchase orders with suppliers
- Tracking the purchase orders, and expediting if needed
- Tracking and documenting processing receipts in the Materials Requirement Planning system
- Sourcing and researching parts and other components using internal and external resources to ensure that correct part is being supplied
- Expedite part deliveries as needed.
- Assist with accounts payable process for assigned orders and/or vendors
- Assist with accounts receivable process for assigned external parts customers and/or external parts orders.
- Inventory management for assigned parts (i.e. stock items, non‐stock items, consumables, capital equipment), involving counting, organizing, and picking
- Kitting materials in support of specific orders (invoice orders, assembly work orders, or service orders).
- Support preparation and processes necessary for the documentation of purchases, returns, warranty coverage and other work as required.
- Maintain data in various databases.
- Perform other duties as assigned and/or required by business needs.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Uphold a strong safety culture, performing duties in a safe and effective manner and following all Genrep, provincial and federal safety standards and guidelines.
- Post‐secondary education with a diploma/degree in business with a focus on Supply Chain Management.
- Knowledge of ERP and MRP software, preferably Epicor.
- 1-3+ years of experience in Supply Chain within a manufacturing/warehousing environment
- Exceptional time management skills with ability to multi‐task, manage priorities, and meet deadlines with a deep attention to detail.
- Self starter that demonstrates initiative and identifies opportunities
- Team player with excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster strong working relationships.
- Computer proficiency with a thorough knowledge of MS Office and social media tools (texting, web conferencing, etc.)
