Who are you?

You are an experienced Project Cost Controller with minimum 10years post-graduate experiencelooking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a construction environment

Job Description

• Develop and Manage project cost reports including the evaluation of actual and forecasted costs against budgets and detailed analysis supporting the same and integrated project plans and schedules
• Assist in the development of project control procedures and solutions for capital project delivery.
• Develop accruals and forecast reports for the projects including detailed management reports at a minimum monthly.
• Coordinate earned value analysis, audits, invoice / pay application reviews of select client vendors and subcontractors.
• Provides high level project updates to, and may work directly with, senior management.
• Work with Project Managers and other internal stakeholders
• Create and manage daily, weekly, and monthly cost and progress reporting, as required by the project team/client
• Compile data from ERP and schedule (P6) for earned value reporting
• Validate prime contractor costs, investigate, and report any variances
• Perform cost coding and data integrity checks
• Ensure that all reports and analyses are consistent, and deadlines are met
• Participate in progress meetings with project stakeholders
• Review and assist in implementing cost related clauses of the construction contracts
• Implement change control, contract compliance, and maintain change log
• Help/Assist in reviewing monthly contractor payment claim submission for major contracts
• Collaborates with estimators, planners, project managers, finance, and management teams
• Communicates with prime contractors, client groups, partners and vendors as required
  

Qualifications

• Relevant work experience, ideally within the oil & gas or manufacturing plant construction
• Firm understating of earned value management, forecasting, performance, and change management
• Understanding and experience in multiple discipline forecasting, budget movements, commitments, EAC and cash flows
• Background in construction projects with major projects as a benefit
• Post contract project experience essential, preferably in Cost Plus / Reimbursable contracts
• Experience with Ares Prism and SAP would be advantageous
• Good working knowledge of Excel essential
• Planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize own work
• Experience and working knowledge of change control
• CCP certification with AACE International preferred
• 10-15 years’ experience
