Job Description

The process engineer, able to work with hourly union environment with occasional guidance from supervision and peers. Skilled in equipment alternatives, sequence and flow of operations for the effective utilization of personnel and machines as necessary for the production of parts. Work is performed in a manufacturing plant activity where teamwork is key.

Responsible For Supporting Activities That May Include

• Attending production meetings for Safety, Quality throughput and scrap reduction
• Responsible for a specific manufacturing, responsiveness and/or quality issues
• Support the production team with data and analysis toward resolving other issues including those outside of engineering scope
• Providing technical direction / information to skilled trades personnel where applicable
• Support manufacturing activities including troubleshooting / diagnosing processes to eliminate scrap or downtime
• Experience in engine/transmission component machining and tooling expertise
• Knowledge of computer software as it pertains to manufacturing preferred
• Process Documentation: GDHS / PFMEA / Control Plan / Error proofing
  

Education and Training

• Bachelor’s degree with a major in engineering (mechanical) or equivalent experience/training required
