• Piping Analysis & Design as per ASME Section 3 class 2, 3, 6
• PIPESTRESS Experience
• Professional Engineers Designation
• Appendix 23 - Bruce Power or OPG project experience & SPE (5 Years of experience within Nuclear)
• Familiar with TSSA and creating Stress Reports (understanding process for TSSA)
• Ability to communicate well, write reports (technical writing is strong) and can engage / provide training to staff & team

• Transients, flow Stress/Strain Behaviour , seismic, wind, assessments; looking at load combination;
• Experience with working stress analysis from Construction / Engineering Atmospheres

Description:

This role will be focused on taking the diagrams, drawings, and models to the engineering analysis and piping software to complete hundreds of thousands of hours required for analysis. There will be 10-15 percent of translating modeling into piping software, 10-15% of doing the analysis, then the rest will be technical writing & code requirement reviews. We will be working a lot of our designer, with our systems engineers, and our support designers. This will be very collaborative approach to the work.

The job duties include but are not limited to:

• Involve in the conceptual, preliminary and/or detailed design and analysis of the Piping and Support design
• Prepare engineering computations and analyses using applicable software (e.g., PipeStress, AutoPipe, MathCAD, GT STRUDL, ANSYS).
• Modelling complex piping and support arrangements using finite element techniques.
• Perform pipe stress evaluation of piping systems in accordance with ASME Section III, Div.1, and/or ASME B31.1/B31.3 code requirements.
• Performing thermal, fatigue, seismic, linear, and non-linear analyses in accordance with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, Section III, Div.1 code requirements.
• Review of technical documents and drawings, such as General Arrangement, ISO, pipe supports, flow diagrams and P&ID), calculations, design/analysis reports, design requirements, design manuals, bill of materials, design specifications, technical specifications, data sheets, etc.
• Support to prepare TSSA registration packages for pressure boundary modifications.

underground piping, liquid waste management, main steam lines, HVAC systems, cooling systems, air systems, sump and drain systems project experience

Experience leading a team of engineers

Class 1 Engineering Experience (Nuclear Class 1)
