Physiotherapist Assistant - Bedford, Nova Scotia

Full time opportunity!

You will be responsible for shared administrative support functions in a team environment as well as responsible for assisting the Physiotherapists with their caseload. Dynamic, versatile and energized by a busy schedule, you welcome the opportunity to demonstrate your strong computer, analytical and organizational skills and your success in meeting timelines.

As a Physiotherapist Assistant, You Will
  • Processing discharged patient charts;
  • Mailing out satisfaction surveys to patients and their families;
  • Answering phones;
  • Processing supply orders;
  • Uploading Service Provider Reports;
  • Clerical audits for all discharged charts;
  • Bar-coding charts for offsite storage;
  • Assembling chart packages;
  • Photocopying nursing documentation;
  • Acts as a liaison between the client and the PT;
  • Assists with PT’s caseload;
  • Maintains a presentable and organized clinic;
  • Ensures that gym area is free of obvious safety hazards.
To take on the role of Physiotherapist Assistant, you must:
  • Exceptional customer service skills;
  • Strong critical thinking;
  • Time management skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Strong computer abilities;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Ability to take and follow direction.
