Job description for Peptide Chemist position:

Pharma Inventor, Inc. is seeking energetic, result-oriented individuals with proven track records of success to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate is expected to have extensive experience in modern organic synthesis and Peptide chemistry. The candidate is expected to work independently within a team structure, design and execute synthetic routes and troubleshoot when needed.

The key responsibilities of the successful candidates include the following:

1. Synthesis of peptides using both automated peptide synthesizers and manual procedures.

2. Cleavage of peptides from resin supports

3. In-process synthesis, analysis by HPLC and mass spectrometry.

4. Carrying out post synthesis modification of peptides.

5. Design and synthesis of novel customized Peptide as part of synthetic chemistry R&D endeavors.

6. Data collection, analysis, and interpretation of data sets. Proposal and follow-up experiments based on data trends.

7. Troubleshoot and optimize reaction sequences and participation in multidisciplinary team meetings.

8. Prepare summary documents and presentations to chemistry and project teams and patent filings.

Minimum Qualifications:

A PhD degree in Organic Synthesis, Bioorganic with 0-2 years of Post-

Doctoral/Industrial experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of Peptide chemistry/synthetic organic chemistry.

2. Demonstrated laboratory proficiency.

3. Experience with the operation of standard laboratory instrumentation (e.g.,

NMR, MS, automated chromatography), and data analysis.

4. Able to work within a team structure and effectively communicate with colleagues at all levels.

5. Proven research track record as evidenced by a strong publication and/or patent record.

6. Entrepreneurial spirit, and constantly seeking creative solutions to challenging problems. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

7. enthusiastic, organized, and practical person who enjoys problem solving and working in a team.

8. Demonstrated being hardworking and willing to learn from others.

9. Be committed to meeting the needs of the research clients within a service environment.
