The Opportunity

Job description:

Our client, a leader in the automotive manufacturing space, is looking for an Operations Manager to join their dedicated team in Windsor,

Ontario. The Operations Manager reports directly to the General Manager, and is responsible for overseeing plant-wide resources to ensure the overall success of the facility.

What Youll Be Responsible For

• Overseeing and Managing the Assembly and Production departments including Production Managers, Supervisors, and additional employees.
• Supporting the General Manager in managing overall operations throughout the facility and ensuring that customer requirements are met.
• Working cross-functionally with management team members to ensure that organizational targets, budgets, and deadlines are adhered to.
• Championing continuous improvement initiatives to support expanding services.
• Developing and monitoring management programs for each department through the reporting of key performance indicators.
• Creating plant production and capacity plans alongside associated inventory targets.
• Evaluating and promoting services to clients and developing strong relationships.
• Supporting with lean initiatives and providing best practice solutions.

The Ideal Candidate

Why is This a Great Opportunity:

• Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Engineering or other related fields.
• 7+ years of experience in Plant Operations within Automotive or other Manufacturing fields.
• Previous experience with North American or Japanese OEMs.
• Strong financial capabilities in managing multiple budgets.
• Excellent computer capabilities with Excel and Word software.
• Proven and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  

Complimentary Experience

• PMP Certification would be considered an asset.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher would be considered an asset.
• Previous experience with Plastic Injection Molding would be considered an asset.
• Previous experience with Agile or Lean methodologies would be considered an asset.
