• Description:*
• The successful candidate will act as a manager for our mechanical design & engineering team which consists of 4-5 employees located globally. As a manager, you will be looking after a team responsible for mechanical design & product sustaining of our phone and controller products. You will lead a group of experts with heavy focus on plastic molding parts, metal sheet design and interact with manufacturers and suppliers*. Responsibilities:
• Manage a team of mechanical engineers located globally (in different time zones).
• Identify key roles required for team success, help with recruitment and team development.
• Provide team guidance, regular feedback, education, coaching and mentoring.
• Support team with all sorts of product sustain activities such as quality investigations and tool / part requalification.
• Perform architecture and design reviews to ensure reliable product quality.
• Collaborate with leadership team, design partners, contract manufacturers and suppliers to define compelling products and the processes needed to create them.
• Collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines (R&D, QE, PE) in a team environment l

• Additional Skills & Qualifications:*
• Degree in mechanical engineering or similar preferred; or high school diploma + relevant experience
• 10+ years working experience with mechanical product design and plastic molded parts. Preferably experience on telecom products.
• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams through product development cycles.
• Capable to provide technical guidance, assistance and work direction to direct reports, including coaching and mentoring
• Ability to multitask, quickly assess requirements and prioritize depending on situations, resources and project needs.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, goal-oriented professional who takes pride in their work and ability to achieve through a team.
• Must possess excellent communication and writing skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a global team.
