The Hill and Levene Schools of Business is where responsible business comes to life through education and research. The Schools offer five graduate degree programs, four graduate certificate programs, one undergraduate degree program and one undergraduate diploma program.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Faculty Administrator, the Manager of Marketing, Recruitment and Communications leads the integrated strategic marketing and communications planning and activities to support the Faculty’s long term goals and objectives, and ensures alignment with the University’s branding, fundraising and marketing objectives and goals. It develops and manages an integrated marketing communications plan across both the undergraduate and graduate Schools, establishing a national and international brand for both Schools, and is responsible for oversight of communications, events and alumni engagement. In addition, it leads on and manages student recruitment for both undergraduate and graduate programs on behalf of the Faculty, and leads on and is accountable for developing and carrying out annual strategic marketing and communications and recruitment budgets.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Development, oversight of and accountability for annual undergraduate / graduate student enrolment targets; enrolment funnel management; collaborate with other units such as Enrolment Services, FGSR and URI on University recruitment and retention initiatives and strategies to ensure University enrolment targets are met;
  • Develop, coordinate and manage recruitment strategies for new markets for both graduate and undergraduate programs by gathering information from current students, alumni, networking opportunities, current trends and events. This includes assessing market feasibility, conducting market research, partnership building, and maintaining up to date market intelligence;
  • Development of marketing campaigns for both Schools and oversight of implementation of campaigns to ensure recruitment targets are achieved;
  • Develop and manage an integrated communications plan across both Schools;
  • Enhance the brand awareness and reputation of the Schools regionally, nationally and internationally;
  • Responsible for oversight of communications, events and alumni engagement including the supervision of the Communications and Outreach Coordinator, Student Recruiter, Student, Alumni & Events Coordinator, Admin Support – MARC, and provide direction and guidance to Program advisors for both undergraduate and graduate Schools.
  • Lead on, and accountable for, developing and carrying out annual strategic marketing and communications budget and recruitment budget effectively managing limited resources in order to maximize impact;
  • Participate as member of both Graduate and Undergraduate program committees to gain understanding of program changes and issues, and to provide statistical and other data to committees when needed;
  • Travel for recruitment purposes regionally, nationally, and internationally.
Position Requirements
Position Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or related area such as Public Relations or Communications, preferably with a specialization in Marketing or Communications. Graduate classes are beneficial
  • Three years’ experience in Marketing or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in setting and achieving recruitment targets including reporting on progress and determining managing limited resources in order to maximize impact
  • Demonstrated experience in developing/executing a strategic marketing and recruitment plan with ability to assess market feasibility, conduct market research and maintain up to date market intelligence
  • Experience in developing and leading on student recruitment activities (domestic and/or international) in a post-secondary environment
  • Experience in budgeting and project/event management
  • Client relationship management and the ability to work with other units to accomplish goals and objectives while building and leveraging connections
  • Proven ability to build a strong team, foster commitment, collaboration and respect within a team and demonstrated experience with communicating clear expectations providing the right access to tools
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills with demonstrated attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative as required
  • Solid written and verbal communications skills including excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software, to include, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of current social media platforms and analytics would be an asset
  • Knowledge of University policies, databases (Banner, Caspur and FAST) would be an asset
  • A valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle is required and willingness to travel as needed
Physical Demands Pay Grade APT 6 Salary Range $69,536 - $93,824 Annually Status Term Work Hours
8:15 am – 4:30 pm, Mondays-Fridays.
Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Some travel within / outside province and country is required.
