The Gaming branch is responsible to achieve annual revenue targets through provincially operated gaming activities that align with AGLC’s vision of responsible gaming. The branch ensures that Gaming activities in the province are operated with integrity and social responsibility, aligning with Gaming Regulations and Board Policy and deliver on commitments to stakeholders in the province of Alberta.

Gaming activities included Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs), Electronic Table Games (ETGs), Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs), Lottery and Online Gambling.

JOB SUMMARY

Are you interested in developing your technical skills and learning about the Lottery and Gaming industry? If so, come work with us! Reporting to the Team lead, Lottery & Signs, this Lottery & Signs Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, maintaining and installing ticket lottery terminals, ticket lottery signage, casino signage, video walls and associated equipment with minimal guidance.

In this role you would be accountable for the organization of materials, space and tools, and for the completion of day-to-day field service requirements as assigned. On occasion, using your knowledge of basic wiring and cabling, you will be expected to provide assistance for the installation, servicing or removals of video lottery terminals, slots or electronic gaming devices.


Lottery & Signs duties are coordinated through the Team lead, Lottery & Signs in completing the daily tasks while adhering to all Gaming Service, Gaming Business and AGLC policies, procedures and security requirements. You will effectively provide product support and guidance to retailers as well as assisting the Field Service Managers and Senior Field Technicians in project planning and floor management. You must also be able to provide excellent customer service and have the ability to multi-task and work well in a team environment.


To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate a commitment to achieving Gaming Revenue Sustainability and Integrity, be computer literate and have experience with Outlook, MS Office, Excel, Clientele and Solochain or a similar inventory management system.


SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Electronics based Diploma, Certified Engineering Technologist or Telecommunications Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution or equivalent education and experience is required.
  • Minimum of one-year related experience in the gaming industry or field service industry is preferred .
  • Inventory and/or logistics training or two years equivalent practical inventory/logistics experience would be an asset.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract is also required.
  • SSIT Certification an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move or shift weights ranging from 50 to 300 pounds; up to 1000 lbs with the use of lift equipment is required.
