About The RoleWe are looking for a Logistics Analystwho is responsible to support the coordination of freight and personnel transportation to and from the mine site. This is achieved through working closely with our suppliers and departments on site and ensuring accurate data is maintained for reporting purposes.In addition to paying competitively and providing great benefits packages, we want you to live the lifestyle that is right for you and your family. We do the work only if it is safe, and we invest to make sure every member of the team has the quality tools they need to do their job.Reporting to the Logistics Specialist, this role is accountable to ensure business systems data is being effectively maintained.This is a permanent position located at the Lac de Gras mine site where you will be working on 2 weeks on 2 weeks off schedule.The main responsibilities will be
  • Supporting the coordination and management of freight and passenger movement to and from the mine site by;
  • Booking and monitoring ad-hoc and scheduled flights to and from the mine site;
  • Booking and monitoring scheduled passenger flights to and from the mine site based on operational requirements;
  • Maintaining and organizing electronic records;
  • Ensuring that clear, accurate and timely reporting is achieved;
  • Working closely with suppliers and various departments on site to ensure on time delivery of goods to the mine site;
  • Monitor and help manage supplier key performance indicators;
  • Raise purchase requisitions, process invoices, and monitor expenses;
  • Develop and capture cost savings initiatives;
  • Supervise and train the winter road dispatch team to ensure successful delivery of following duties outlined below;
  • Processing truck drivers in queue for off-loading;
  • Recording accurate data into trip tickets and carrier documents;
  • Completing all documentation for backhaul loads;
  • Monitoring and recording data into JVWRS tracking system;
  • Providing information to warehouse shift supervisors, support services, contractors and carriers;
  • Coordinating truck/freight movement and support services;
  • Working and promoting safety within the winter road environment by;
  • Immediately reporting all incidents and accidents to your immediate supervisor;
  • Fostering and developing a safety culture within dispatch;
  • Identifying safety concerns to the crew and engage the crew on how to manage these risks;
  • Adhering to all safety standards and policies;
  • Leading the daily toolbox meeting.

About YouTo be successfully considered for this role, you will have
  • Minimum 3 years’ administrative experience with a demonstrated advancement of responsibility;
  • Good computer skills with a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Experience working in SAP and Power BI is considered an asset;
  • Demonstrates the ability to take initiative and work independently and as part of a team in a results-oriented environment;
  • Excellent oral, written and active listening skills;
  • Excellent organization skills;
  • Ability to work in high stress situations and resolve issues;
  • Ability and experience to work effectively with peoples from different cultures;
  • Possesses cultural awareness and sensitivity;
  • A strong commitment to safety;
  • Demonstrates a dedication to the company and the position and be committed to positive health, safety, environment and quality practices;
