Job Description
The IT Systems Administrator will join a team that fulfills the day to day requirements of the IT functions at Mt Seymour. This includes administering the IT infrastructure and applications. Routine duties include providing user, desktop, and network support; deploying new systems and supporting colleagues on business impact projects; providing server and systems administration, installation and troubleshooting; maintaining systems documentation.
Key Responsibilities:

• Administer the virtualized and physical network environment. Including all systems and core network components such as servers, printer/copiers, switches, routers, WiFi, and firewalls. Ensure ongoing systems integrity and security related to protecting network access, email, internet, remote VPN, and telecommunications (voice and data) services.
• Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot the Windows, Office, databases, and email environment. Office 365, line of business applications and VOIP.
• Perform and manage corporate backups and recovery systems.
• Install, configure, and support hardware and software for onboarding. Perform necessary upgrades, patches, security updates, and service packs. Hardware troubleshooting including desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
• Detailed and advanced troubleshooting of business applications and building technologies such as point of sale retail/ticketing systems and security CCTV.
• Provide training and excellent end-user support for desktop, mobile, application and cloud applications
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with staff across the organization
• Other IT services and related duties, as required

Qualifications:

• Completion of a 2-year Computer Information Systems Diploma program or equivalent experience. Microsoft, Cisco, and/or VMWare certifications are desirable but not required
• A minimum of 2 years experience in an IT systems administration role
• Minimum 1 year experience in VMware administration.
• Has a working knowledge on Sonicwall firewall, HP networking hardware desirable but not required
• Excellent communications (written and verbal) and customer service skills
• Exceptional dependability, reliability and flexibility with strong problem solving skills
• Must have access to own transportation.

Terms of Employment:

• Your working schedule will be primarily Monday to Friday, however during the winter operating season which runs from approximately December until early April, we expect you to adjust your schedule to allow you to work a weekend day to support the smooth operation of the business.
