We are currently searching for a superstar In Room Dining Server (IRD)to join our team on apart-time basis.

Position Description

Reporting to the Banquet & IRD Manager, the IRD Server will make the most positive impact on guest experiences through consistent application of Shangri-La’s core practices in all F&B outlets, maximizing the balance between Colleague, Guest and Owner satisfaction.

• Review and understand guest order tickets, ensure orders are set up as per the customer request.
• Read and execute specifications listed on order tickets, paying close attention to special needs/requests.
• Attend all pre-shift meetings to ensure consistent knowledge of products, services and guest preferences.
• Prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages.
• Maintaining proper standards of service to ensure a positive dining experience: delivering items, fulfilling guest needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
• Have a good understanding and be able to communicate products and services to guests, when required.
• Deliver and serve drinks, food, meals, condiments, and accompaniments etc.
• Prepare tables, action stations, service carts, dessert table/carts.
• Replenish items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation.
• Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
• Monitor tableware to ensure it is presentable to guests.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
• Attend tables by removing and separating tableware, plate ware, glassware, and flatware.
• Communicate any areas of need, problems, and concerns from guest to the Banquet & IRD Manager.
• Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
• Undertake other ad hoc related responsibilities, as required

Education & Skill Requirements

• Previous service knowledge and training is required.
• Minimum 2-year work experience in banquets, room service, restaurant service is preferred.
• Flexible availability - required to work days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays, as required.
• Current Serving it Right and Food Safe Level 1 certification is required.
