Job Summary
MLT Aikins has a new opportunity for an HR Talent and Recruitment Coordinator. Reporting to the manager of HR Services, you will be responsible for the full recruitment cycle for support staff in each of our offices as well as assisting with student recruitment programs. This role will support offices across western Canada and as such remote work opportunities are available.

Working in collaboration with the HR Services and leadership teams, you will provide a great experience through the coordination of all recruitment activities such as identifying candidates through recruitment portals, social media, community relations and employee referrals. You will take steps to proactively identify new target groups for attracting talent and building relationships. In addition, you will be accountable for producing employment agreements, onboarding requirements and working with teams to support a positive new hire experience. You must possess strong interpersonal skills and have a passion for talent marketing and managing positive employee and community relationships.

Responsibilities Include

  • Managing the full-cycle recruiting process, including: posting positions, screening resumes, short-listing candidates, scheduling /conducting pre-screening interviews, coordinating assessments and testing, creating offer letters and processing background/reference checks
  • Completing researches and recommending external recruitment advertising strategy including establishing and maintaining an appropriate network of recruitment and community partners
  • Following industry trends and researching new recruitment initiatives
  • Working collaboratively with respective teams to identify, attract, and hire targeted talent and to develop strategies to retain a full talent
  • Be the point of contact for recruitment vendors, external agencies, employment services, local colleges, universities and legal associations
  • Liaising and coordinating with universities and colleges to promote employment opportunities;
  • Supporting interview and selection process where required
  • Administering, sorting, tracking, filing and acknowledging on-line resumes and maintaining the flow of candidates;
  • Responsible for completing offer letters and sending new hire paperwork
  • Assisting to support marketing with recruitment events
  • Providing back-up support to HR Coordinator with general HR tasks

Qualifications Include:

  • Minimum 2-3 years recruitment/talent acquisition experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, administration or related field
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skill
  • Focus on accuracy and high-quality work with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and demanding work environment while remaining positive and focused
  • Proven ability to provide quality service to internal and external customers
  • Demonstrates professionalism with exceptional interpersonal skills
