Want the unique experience of accelerating growth of a dynamic, and increasingly visible and impactful part of Lowe’s Canada? We are looking for a leader who will be key in driving the long-term revenue and profit growth of Lowe’s Canada’s online businesses.

As Manager, Online Assortment Planning & Expansion you will serve as the business leader responsible for significantly increasing the depth and breadth of the online drop ship assortment on Lowes.ca, Rona.ca and RenoDepot.com. You will work closely with Supplier partners, Online Merchants and Operations teams to both increase the availability of product within existing merchandise categories as well as identify expansion opportunities with new categories. The Manager will monitor drop-ship assortment productivity and manage exit strategies for unsuccessful products. You will develop relationships with drop ship suppliers and Core/Online Merchants to fully understand customer needs. The Manager will lead a team of Analysts and Sr. Analysts and be responsible for inspiring, managing and developing team members.

Your role

Champion drop ship expansion within merchant organization and collaborate with Online Merchants to expand product categories.

Determine top opportunities for product expansion.

Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for new product categories.

Determine assortment, costs, and retails at the item level for new categories.

Assist in developing and maintaining supplier partnerships.

Analyze item/category performance and trend opportunities.

Facilitate contract execution with suppliers.

Define and execute on strategies to onboard and manage product attributes that optimize online shopping experiences.

Provide leadership and guidance to and manage the performance and development of team members.

Requirements

The qualifications we are looking for

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field.

4+ years’ experience in online retail or Omni-Channel merchandising.

Strong comprehension of online merchandising, marketing and selling principles.

Strong leadership abilities and experience in managing cross-functional work relationships.

Understanding of concepts related to market buy activities, purchase order management, vendor relationships, item set up and attributes.

Detail oriented; ability to manage multiple requests and follow-up on others to ensure things get done.

Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods.

Proficient in MS Office.

Exceptional communication skills.

Flexible and able to perform in a fast paced, changing environment.

Preferred

Experience as Category Manager, Associate Merchant, Merchant, Planner, etc. in an online retail or Omni-Channel merchandising environment.

Demonstrated analytical, financial, and business planning skills.

3+ years’ experience leading others.
