Greeter/Screener (Temp Part Time)

CareCorp Senior Services are a trusted agency company who provide superior healthcare, food services, housekeeping and laundry service to long-term care facilities across BC.
We are looking for a Greeter/screener to join our amazing team in one of our beautiful long-term care facilities.

Previous experience in a long term care facility or with the senior community ispreferredbut not required!

Facility address:Willingdon Care Center, 4435 Grange Street, Burnaby, BC
Position details:Saturday-Sunday; 11:00am-7:00pm.
Compensation: $17.50 per hour

General Duties:

• Using established facility screening procedures to screen staff and visitors for potential exposure to, and symptoms of, Covid19.

• Provides facility visitors with scripted education and tools on self-assessment, hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment.

• Sets-up visitor areas prior to each visit.

• Cleans and sanitizes visitor areas after each visit and on a regular basis.

• Reports all resident and staff safety and care concerns.

• Other ad hoc tasks as assigned.

• Completion of Grade 10 (minimum)

• Ability to effectively communicate in English

To mitigate the risk COVID-19 transmission among persons in our care, patients, residents and staff, an order under the Public Health Act was enacted to limit movement of staff between long-term care facilities. While this order is in place, staff are limited to working in only one (1) private long-term care hospital (facility), licensed long-term care facility, registered assisted living facility, stand-alone extended care hospital, or provincial mental health facility.

The successful applicant for this job posting must provide satisfactory proof, or have such proof on file, that they have received the COVID-19 vaccination and any required COVID-19 booster vaccination. This requirement shall be waived if the applicant has not received the vaccination due to any legislated protected human rights grounds. In such a case, and upon presentation of sufficient proof, CareCorp shall make reasonable attempts to accommodate the applicant to carry out their role where possible recognizing that the health and safety of other employees and residents will be a priority.
